We met at church! Leo was too shy to greet Rachel most mornings while setting up his bass guitar. Rachel kept saying hi anyways.

While visiting a group of friends in LA, goofing off at LACMA, and going to Disneyland, we could not stop laughing and started to get to know each other as close friends. Leo intentionally chose his flight back to be on the same flight as Rachel. We almost missed our flight back home to the bay area because we were talking for too long at our gate. We still remember the panicked look in our eyes as our names were loudly announced over the airport's speakers and running to make the flight. Just a few weeks later, Leo asked Rachel to be his girlfriend at Montara Beach in Pacifica after attending a car show with her family.

After a long many months of quarantine and creative dates amidst the pandemic, Leo planned a proposal to Rachel. After a few ideas changed or were eliminated, he decided to take Rachel to the same beach he asked her to be his girlfriend back in 2018. Rachel remembers him speeding all the way to Montara Beach not knowing why he was in such a rush. After enjoying a peaceful walk on an unusually sunny, December day, Leo got down on one knee and popped the question. Rachel's first words were "are you serious?!" and then "Yes!"
